Gold Hart Candles are handmade in Scotland, by the lovely Lorraine. Inspired by the wild, dramatic Scottish countryside, they are made from all natural ingredients to produce a range of gorgeous and enduring fragrances. From foraging in the highlands to the fresh winds of the seashore, these elegant candles really fill the room with evocative scents. We love the gold etched black glass, so much more stylish than the usual stickers for labels. We’ve been potting plants in ours once the candle has eventually burned out.
A genuine globally responsible brand, Madam Stoltz really fits with the purpose of Considered. Started by Pernille Stoltz in Denmark in the 1990s, selling handmade products that she found on her travels through India, Madam Stoltz is now a business supplying beautiful handmade accessories around the world. With philanthropy and teamwork at the heart of their business, they give back to the communities that make their products via charitable work, fair trade and employment and supporting educational NGOs.
Best known as one of the great Danish furniture design companies, it’s Normann Copenhagen’s range of accessories, and especially their ‘Daily Fiction’ brand of stationery and office supplies that have really caught our eye. Simple and luxe, with functional styling and on-trend pattern, this brand is a complete winner for us.
Ferm Living is one of our very favourite Scandinavian home brands. They first came to our attention for their gorgeous kids' products, and are Ellie's go-to brand when she's designing children's bedrooms and playrooms. A lovely muted colour palette, geometric shapes and charming whimsy all make Ferm Living a Danish favourite. We were less familiar with their homewares, but are now completely obsessed with their textured cushions, minimal plant pots and solid brass table utensils. We’re really thrilled to be stocking Ferm Living, and can’t wait to bring you all their new products as they come out.
Japanese stationery is an obsession, and a true craft. Hightide and Penco’s retro styled products are functional and beautiful, and just that little bit out of the ordinary. Just perfect for Considered.
We love the vintage bohemian inspiration of the HK Living products. All of their pieces are unusual and unique, ethically sourced from around the world. Perfect for adding a quirky update to your home.
Bensimon can take credit for persuading us to be a lifestyle store, rather than just selling interiors products. Well known for their famous classic tennis shoe, it was their range of nylon bags that caught our eye, on a wet weekend in Paris. With the quality and workmanship that goes hand in hand with being an iconic French brand, we are delighted to be bringing their products to the UK, rather than just keeping them as our little secret!
We found a Kontex towel in Paris. We were blown away by the beauty, the quality, the softness, and we knew we had to track them down for Considered. Every Kontex product is made from fine, garment quality thread that’s loosely twisted for the highest level of softness. It is then weaved on traditional, low-speed machines to maintain the integrity of the thread and achieve a level of softness that modern machines cannot produce.
The towels and blankets are then washed with fresh spring water from the melted snow of Mt. Ishizuchi, ensuring every thread is free from impurities. Kontex have been making towels this way, in Inabari, Japan, since 1934. We are passionate about the beauty and quality of their products.
We really love Dassie Artisan. They are a British company who work directly with makers in developing countries to produce beautiful, unique homeware. We love their commitment to be socially and environmentally responsible and we're proud to sell their beautiful products.
